8Bit Photo Lab will convert any picture on your phone or straight from your camera in retro 8-bit fashion!

To get started, choose a picture, scroll through a selection of pre-defined 8-bit filters and immediately review the vintage effect. Save or share the result in just one click!

Parameters allow more control on the end result: pixel size, palette, dithering, brightness, contrast and saturation. Text, glitches and cropping give your work its final touch.

Whether you're looking to make art, create memes, design a flashy poster or just have fun, 8BIt Photo Lab gets the job done quickly and smoothly with its simple, straight to the point interface.

8Bit Photo Lab will allow you to answer these important questions:
- What would this holiday picture have looked like on my CGA monitor in 1988?
- What look would my house have had in an early 90s adventure game?
- Is a high resolution 4 color picture art?
- Do we really need more than 16 colors anyways?
- Weren't we happier when there was no anti-aliasing?

How to:
- load a picture on your device or take a picture with your camera
- a default effect is immediately appplied. Pan through the different presets offered by the "star" preselection.
- make finer adjustments using the buttons on the bottom: pixel size, choice of colors, dithering, local contrast, global contrast, saturation, brightness
- crop your picture to use just a part of the image
- add glitches (blender icon) such as pixel scattering, pixel sorting or have a cellular automaton (Game of Life) work on your image!
- add text with a wide selection of 8-Bit fonts and borders, including the always fun speech bubbles!
- tap on the image to go fullscreen
- flick your image right or left to apply the effect to another picture (only from a loaded image)

PRO mode unlocks the following:
- larger range of parameters
- more ditherings and palettes
- extra fonts and borders
- lossless file compression (PNG) and higher output resolution
